Who We Are
We are a women-led nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing environmental sustainability, climate justice, and gender equity, empowering marginalized communities
We are committed to being a strong voice for change and a catalyst for social and economic development.
Since our establishment in 2020, we have passionately promoted sustainable livelihoods, quality education, and clean energy solutions at the grassroots level.
As part of several influential networks, including the Civil Society Action Coalition on Education for All (CSACEFA), Association of Non-Bank Microfinance Institutions of Nigeria (ANMFIN), and Bauchi State Network of Civil Society Organizations (BASNEC), we are committed to being a strong voice for change and a catalyst for social and economic development.

What makes us different?
At CARD we envision a world where gender equity drives climate resilience, ensuring women and marginalized groups lead and benefit from sustainable solutions for a thriving planet. Our mission is achieved by empowering rural communities, particularly women and girls, by advancing climate action, fostering gender justice, and promoting sustainable development through advocacy, education, and capacity building.
Women’s Livelihood Empowerment
We are dedicated to enabling economic independence for marginalized women by:
- Supporting women’s financial independence through programs like the Green Microcredit initiative.
- Enhancing the socio-economic resilience of marginalized women via Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLA) and skill-based training.
Education For All
Education is a powerful tool for change. CARD supports education by:
- Providing literacy and numeracy training for illiterate women, girls, and youth.
- Facilitating access to quality education for out-of-school children, empowering the next generation to thrive.
Environmental Sustainability & Renewable Energy
CARD contributes to a sustainable future by:
- Promoting eco-friendly practices and renewable energy solutions, such as clean cookstoves and briquette production.
- Restoring ecosystems through tree-planting initiatives and innovative agricultural practices.
- Advocating for climate change awareness and action within rural communities.
